Crafting jewelry can take a lifetime of teaching to master; however, the techniques used by artist William Llewellyn Griffiths are completely self-taught. He mostly works with gems, metals and stone to create beautiful and unique pieces.
Melbourne-based artist William Llewellyn Griffiths has worked with many high-profile companies over his career, including collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood and the late Alexander McQueen. He mastered his technique over a 30-year span working in London's Hatton Garden district. One of his more recent creations is the magnificently handmade lock and key-styled ring. The entire piece is engraved in fine detail, and the center stone can either be topaz, sapphire or diamond.
William Llewellyn Griffiths can manipulate the ring with a variety of precious metals like gold and silver, creating a unique and custom piece of jewelry.
