While some may like their meals to be as refined and proper as possible, the White Animal Life (WAL) tableware will bring out the wild side in any diner. It is a set of table accessories modeled after 17th and 18th century animals often used as decorations on tureens. Instead of being part of the pattern, these animals have become the dishes themselves. For instance, there is a flamingo carafe and leopard napkin holders.
Designed by Amsterdam-based interior designer Emilie Kröner, who recently founded Piselli Projects, the White Animal Life tableware is her debut collection. Gaining notoriety at this year's New York and Milan Design Weeks, her sense of taste and humor is captured beautifully in the White Animal Life collection.
