Cloud is the apt name for a set of whimsical tables designed by Japanese studio Nendo. Yet the whimsical tables aren't necessarily inspired by the fluffy phenomenons floating in the sky, instead they are modeled after the shadows cast on the ground. This makes the pieces of furniture differ from similar designs.
The illusion of a shadow is created through the use of a perforated surface that is more dense in some areas than others. The whimsical tables were created for Moroso and can be stacked on top of each other to create a more organic formation. Available in three different sizes, the whimsical table add a nice sculptural and textured touch to living spaces and work settings.
