Edifier released its latest flagship over-ear headphones titled the Edifier 'WH950NB.' These headphones are available in two colors: tan and black, offering two muted colorways that fit with the rest of Edifier's product portfolio. These headphones have a premium build quality that comfortably fits on a variety of head sizes.
The Edifier WH950NB has a foldable design that allows it to be easily stashed in a purse or backpack. Each earpad folds inwards, drastically reducing the footprint of the headphones. One other notable part of the design is the earpads themselves. The earpads are made out of soft protein leather and memory foam, which feels exceptionally soft on the head while perfectly sealing out unwanted ambient noise.
In terms of the technical quality, the WH950NB supports Sony LDAC, or Lossless Digital to Analog Conversion, which results in near analog-quality audio with ultra-low latency over a Bluetooth connection. These headphones use Bluetooth 5.3 and can be synced to multiple devices at the same time. The user can cycle through devices on the headphones with a press of a button.
According to Edifier, the battery on the WH950NB lasts for roughly 55 hours of active use, which does seem to be reflected in reality, as the headphones need to be charged only every week or two, even when used for several hours daily.
Lastly, the microphone quality on the Edifier WH950NB is unmatched as it combines four high-quality microphones in across each earpad, resulting in balanced, crystal-clear voice capture for phone calls and remote meetings.
The WH950NB can be ordered today directly from Amazon, or other verified retailers, at an MSRP of $179.99 CAD.
