The Wearable Microphone Jamming bracelet has been developed by a group of students at the University of Chicago as a different kind of technology device that will enable users to maintain their digital privacy. The wearable works by using a series of ultrasonic sensors that will blast a frequency in all directions that can't be detected by the human ear but will jam all surrounding microphones. This would allow users to have a private conversation without having to worry that their smartphone, smart speaker or smartwatch are listening.
The Wearable Microphone Jamming bracelet has been developed by Yuxin Chen, Huiying Li, Shan-Yuan Teng, Steven Nagels, Zhijing Li, Pedro Lopes, Ben Y. Zhao and Haitao Zheng of the University of Chicago.
