MGM, which owns the rights to the cult film WarGames, has teamed up with interactive video company Interlude to create what it calls an "original interactive short drama". In other words, WarGames is going to be made available as a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' video with new characters and an all-new storyline.
This WarGames reboot takes the mood of the original series and adds some modern, next-level responsiveness. Viewers are given the opportunity to to choose the outcome of specific scenes and have an impact on the story as it progresses.
The game is all set to be available in early 2016. Not only will the game give WarGames fans a reason to smile, it could lead to a revival in fiction-based Choose Your Own Adventure games.
