It was Yanko Design's title, "Cups for Conscience" that caught my attention on this Hans A Huseklepp design. Displayed at Milan Expo 2015, the 'Wake Up' dishes were designed not only to look great, but to delivery a global message. The differentiating heights and varying plate sizes are designed to symbolize the world's inequality between rich and poor.
The 'Wake Up' dishes and cups were a joint effort with Karl Sjöstrøm and Henning R. Nielsen as well as with Vecchio Lodi Ceramics.
