The Vulcano Shower Looks Like a Futuristic Euro-Inspired Fountain
Meghan Young — May 14, 2011 — Art & Design
I don't think that there are enough fountainlike structures being built anymore, at least in American society, so it was nice to stumble upon the Vulcano shower. The beauty of this sculptural outdoor shower is that it not only hints at the stunning quality of European fountains, it updates it with an interesting futuristic flair as well.
Designed by Jan Puylaert for Italian company Wet Sanitary Designs, the Vulcano shower is made out of stone. It's arranged in sets of four, with one large shower and three smaller drinking fountains. The Vulcano shower is especially perfect for parks with wading pools and play areas that require children (and even adults) to wash up before heading back home. I especially like its simple silhouette.
