Taking the stress out of Christmas shopping, Walmart Canada collaborates with Mattel to release a virtual pop-up shop exclusively selling toys. For four weeks leading up to Christmas, Toronto commuters will get the opportunity to quickly and easily scan QR codes with their smartphones to purchase the latest and most sought-after toys.
Located in Toronto's underground walkway PATH, the initiative will feature the most beloved toy brands of this decade, such as Barbie and Hot Wheels, in 3-D form on the two walls making up the virtual shop.The virtual aspect of the toy store was left up to the Brandfire Marketing Group in coordination with IMA Outdoor Inc.; both marketing and advertising gurus.
Come Christmas time, kids will be overjoyed with their gifts and parents will rejoice knowing how quick and painless the process was -- all thanks to Walmart's virtual pop-up shop.
