Epson Has Released AR Glasses That Create a Drone Playground
Mary Van Puymbroeck — June 1, 2017 — Tech
Epson has released a game that allows players to use their Epson Moverio AR glasses to play virtual drone games.
The games (created by a company called EdgyBees) allow users to practice their drone flying skill in an augmented reality sphere. A virtual obstacle course is superimposed over a first person view of the sky taken with your drone's camera. There is also a multi-player mode that allows users to play against others.
Epson had released the Moverio AR glasses some time ago but has been looking for an appropriate application for the product. Without the Moverio glasses, users have to play EdgyBees virtual drone games on their smartphone or tablets. Now they can look to the sky and play. The EdgyBees and Epson collaboration works to improve both products by combining them into one immersive experience.
