A team of designers comprised of Seunghyun Ko, Minji Kang, Ye Jin Lee, and Seohyun Park created the VILLAGE concept. It is a portable projection system that can be integrated into a window structure. This allows it to function automatically. It is described by co-designer Ko as “a living product that proposes a new lifestyle experience of ‘separate and together’ for single-person households living in a single room, based on the concept of ‘furnitureization of appliances."
To function, the system integrates the projector unit into the curtain shade which hides the technology discreetly. The central unit secures into a wall frame mounted using magnets and then slides automatically to the right or left side depending on the program.
