Video game history is a really interesting and rocky road that is worth documenting.
Fortunately, National Geographic and NowSourcing have joined forces to produced this infographic charting the major milestones in video game history. From Pong to Angry Birds and many events in between, it's fascinating to learn more about how we went from two white lines bouncing a ball between them to massive immersive online realms in World of Warcraft, and back to the simple joys of a round of Angry Birds. What I think is most surprising about this infographic is the fact that it's produced by National Geographic, the same magazine that is world renowned for exploring every corner of the world and publishing pictures and stories of exotic places and peoples. You know, the opposite of the average gamer.
