Gaming start-up Victrix is set to bring a new line military-grade noise cancelling headphones to gamers with its release of the Victrix Pro AF ANC. The term ANC -- Active Noise Cancelling -- is used to describe the headphone's ability to eliminate 70 percent of exterior sound and is being described by the company as the first headphones to get rid of a majority of crowd noise. The headset is so adept at cancelling out noise because of four dedicated microphones. The microphones used by the headset actively listens for exterior noise and eliminate it from the environment.
The Victrix Pro AF ANC also features an in-line controller, built in venting systems and a Pro AF microphone filter. The microphone filter was originally developed for Cobra attack helicopters, and as such will reject background noise and focus on the voice. The decision to focus designs on military hardware came from the startups main investor, who owns a large helicopter company, and gave the designers aviation headsets.
