Updated music videos will come to the YouTube platform courtesy of YouTube and Universal Music Group. Much of YouTube's music video content was outdated and designed for viewing on older TVs, that have with single speaker audio output. The partnership is looking to update 1,000 of the videos of the platform, the partnership looks to be all in on this and wants the videos updated, "to the highest possible standards."
Currently, the partnership has already done approximately 100 updates, all of which were popular titles including Boyz II Men, George Strait, Janet Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Lionel Richie and more. The updated music videos will remain on the same URL, so if users already have links they will still be live.
