The Up Mouse Reduces Harm to Hands and Wrists
Meghan Young — August 3, 2012 — Art & Design
While using a mouse might not be the best thing for a person's wrist or hand, until someone comes up with a completely different solution people will have to be content trying out various versions such as the Up Mouse. The latest mouse prototype, the Up Mouse reverses the use of the classic computer peripheral, forcing people to click upwards instead of downwards as its name suggests.
Designed by Daniel Benamy, a software developer based in New York, the Up Mouse uses a completely different muscle group that doesn't go through the carpal tunnel in one's wrist, thus significantly reducing the chance of real harm. Currently vying for funding on Indiegogo, the Up Mouse could be a simple solution to a common problem. The overall design is also sleek and simple.
