Boing Boing have reported that the Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) group has decided to standardise mobile chargers so we can wave goodbye to annoying work emails such as “does anyone have a [insert desired brand] charger I can borrowâ€. The OMTP Group consists of companies such as Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, LG and Sony Ericsson. The decision is thought to have been a result of the environmental pressures that companies are now facing in how they recycle their equipment.
