The United States Postal Service is Switching to Electric Vehicles

The United States Postal Service recently announced that it is set up to purchase 66,000 electric trucks to create one of the largest fleets rooted in sustainability throughout the country. It has the foal to turn the white mail trucks into a slew of eco-friendly carriers by the year 2026.
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy talks to The Washington Post and notes that 60,000 of these "Next Generation Delivery Vehicles” will be bought from Oshkosh -- 45,000 will be electric, 46,000 additional models, of which 21,000 will be electric and purchased from mainstream labels. Part of these funds is planned to contribute towards building modern charging structures at the Postal Service facilities as it takes on this sustainable commitment.
