Seth Rolland designed a unique bathtub that resembles a beautifully crafted wooden boat. While the majority of bathtubs are composed of acrylic or fiberglass, this luxurious tub is made from sustainably harvested Sapele wood.
Named after the waters that hug the shores of British Columbia, the 'Salish Sea' is more than just another bathroom fixture. In order to design the gorgeous tub, Rolland took inspiration from traditional boat-building techniques. The exterior of the tub is shaped like a beautiful wooden vessel, while the interior features a hidden second rim that captures overflowing water. The entire structure is composed of 200 individual pieces of solid Sapele wood. The overall design is visually stunning, but also completely functional.
