The Teachbox concept is a wonderful and resourceful proposal for the responsible reuse of cardboard boxes. It would increase the value of the recyclable material greatly and hardly cost the manufacturer a penny more.
Specifically, Ali Haji and Milad Mohajeri saw the opportunity to reuse the many cartons in which UNICEF ships donated goods to underprivileged communities in parts of Africa and Asia. During the phase when the crates are die-cut and printed, the simple addition of some illustrated instructions and some perforated lines could turn these cases into potential toys.
Giraffes, lions, elephants and airplanes are some of the animals and objects that could be built by children, making the Teachbox a source of entertainment and learning and a brilliant suggestion for eco-friendly design.
