It will more than likely be many, many years before any automobile on the road looks anything like the U-Wall Lizard. The U-Wall Lizard is a conceptual car designed for a future in which roads are three-dimensional.
In designer Zhi Min Lin's vision of the future, roads have been elevated and curved to resemble a U. The U-Wall Lizard is designed to traverse these roads with its flexible frame and uniquely designed wheels. The wheels of the U-Wall come in four different configurations with each one designed to grip onto a different surface. The most interesting of these grips is the one that turns the wheel into five small ice picks. This grip is designed for rough and roadless terrain.
As awesome as the U-Wall Lizard is, it seems a little too futuristic to go from concept to reality anytime soon. The world just isn't ready for cars with legs and transforming wheels.
