The Trivek is a trike, developed by Australian manufacturer Hiele, that is essentially a semi-recumbent trike. This trike allows riders to sit back in a comfortable, secure seat while sitting tall enough to be easily seen by motorists.
The trike has a truly unique front wheel-drive drivetrain setup, with a bottom bracket and a front wheel hub combined together, with cranks and pedals sitting on either side of the front wheel. A chain on one side of the wheel transmits the rider's pedaling power to an 8-speed hub transmission mounted above the wheel.
