German airline Lufthansa is considering stacking its passengers three high on their A380 SuperJumbo long distance flights. This would be in the horizontal position in bunks, so they could sleep on the long flights.
Implications - First class is a luxury that not everyone can afford. But companies understand that passengers riding economy deserves comfort as well, so they're always trying to find ways to cater to the average joe's. With personal TVs and additional legroom, Lufthansa might be onto something here with this sleeper cabin concept. It provides much-needed comfort and it saves a lot of space on the plane. The aches of long flights may finally be over if this concept comes into fruition.
