This toy library aims to bring together children of all religions, ethnicities, races and backgrounds in Jerusalem. Currently seeking funds via crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, the Toys Library would function very similarly to a regular public library supplying kids with books for free. Instead of children's literature, however, creator Erez Uman hopes to bring young people together through sharing toys.
Youth would be able to borrow toys from the library, enjoy them and return them. This also allows parents to save money and kids of all economic backgrounds would be able to participate. This idea addresses the issue of toys quickly becoming obsolete, whether through playground politics or simple growing up. Erez encourages people to donate toys through his Indiegogo page as well.
