Tim Flach is a graduate of St. Martins School of Art where he studied Photography and Painted Structures. He spent the last twenty years as a highly successful advertising photographer and is now gaining acclaim for his highly stylized animal portraits.
The horse images featured here form part of his 'Equus Series' commissioned by PQ Publishing.
Implications - Each of the photos displays animals in a natural state without a forced pose. Flach plays with his subjects by focusing on one specific aspect of their body and by doing quirky and simple things, such as filming bats right-side up when they're really hanging upside down. The pictures are well-executed and truly portray these wonderful creatures in an honest way that Photoshop can never achieve.
