In a move towards creating sustainable and environmentally-friendly fashion, the company Tidal Wave makes clothing out of crab shells and leather.
The company makes two different sustainable materials that are used to make clothing and accessories. Chitoskin™ is an apparel line that "naturally crushes odor" and is made up of crab shells that would otherwise be discarded. The end result is clothing that is "antibacterial, antimicrobial, biodegradable and non-toxic." Tidal wave also makes accessories such as wallets, smartphone cases, belts and billfolds out of Alaskan salmon leather.
