The Lion King collection is the latest to helm from iconic fashion house Balmain to celebrate the cult film's 30th anniversary. Creative director Olivier Rousteing claimed to be a fan from his childhood and worked to capture the film's essence by tapping into African artistry and craftsmanship for the designs.
The entire range is packed with bold hues and bright prints including artwork that is done by three African creatives. This includes the work of South African painter Nika Mtwana who created an art piece imagined on a flowing dress. Enfant Precoce reimagines Simba and it is seen on outerwear and t-shirts. Cassius Kumalo created a portrait of Nala which is seen adorning hoodies and totes.
