Woocheol Shin created the Heart chair, which is a captivating piece of furniture defined by its organic lines and structure. The chair is crafted with inspiration from its heart-shaped silhouette, which can be seen from the side perspective. Notably, it extends beyond the lines which “subtly break its implicit harmony."
It has a flowing shape with organic lines to appear as an art piece as well. Along with the function and aesthetic of the chair, the team envisioned these lines to seamlessly blend into the space as a form of optimal synchronization. It is meant to have less tension when sitting in the chair in comparison to the usual rigid chairs that are often found in public spaces.
