A very unconventional lampshade is worked into the design of the Full Moon Lamp, certainly serving to soften the intensity of the LEDs, but also endeavoring to bathe more of its surrounding surfaces in bright white light.
Cédric Ragot produced this collection of fixtures for Roche-Bobois, presenting three models in the forms of a reading lamp, a floor lamp and a table lamp. Each is manufactured from lacquered metal with a boxy base, a cylindrical bulb housing and a bent and wiry stem. The Full Moon Lamp comes in a bold red or a black finish to accentuate its industrial quality.
The defining feature of every one of them is the integration of a round diffuser. This dims all direct beams but casts brightness 360 degrees around where it sits.
