Umbrellas are like 4x4 vehicles. They don't get appreciated until they're needed. The Eco Brolly is a quasi-umbrella design—quasi in the sense that there is only half of it, the skeleton. When it starts to rain, you simply unscrew the top, push a newspaper onto it and replace the screw. You suddenly have a makeshift barrier between you and the raindrops.
Implications - This eco umbrella is small enough to fit inside your pocket and is very lightweight. It is made out of aluminum and would definitely come in handy in a big city where you can always find free newspapers hanging about. It is definitely an ingenious idea that is sure to be adopted by many.
