Turn the Boxy Teddy Bag into a Desk
References: indexaward.dk & yankodesign
There are numerous shape-shifting furniture pieces, but the Teddy Bag is the first one I’ve seen that actually changes into a backpack. The bag is made entirely out of cardboard that looks fragile, but is strong enough to carry items with. Should the child need something to write on, the Teddy Bag can be assembled into a small desk.
Designed by François Verez and Ane Eguiguren, the Teddy Bag was designed for INDEX: Challenge, Design for Education, in which participants were asked to design solutions to help improve education in developing countries.
