The Tecido Platter mimics a common way that buffet restaurants display their food. They often disguise ugly or mismatched dishware with table clothes and other types of fabric. In this case, however, the Tecido Platter is simply covered with a fake piece of fabric. It has been masterfully sculpted out of porcelain to look like a draped piece of cloth.
Designed by Goncalo Campos, the Tecido Platter was created in collaboration with Vista Alegre, a Portuguese Porcelain and Crystal company. Although the look achieved is both elegant and delicate, the Tecido Platter is incredibly functional as well. Available in two version (single or two-tiered), it can be used to create impressive arrangements of fruits, breads and more.
