Tea Petrovic designed this handmade heels after being inspired by Russian sculptor Naum Gabo and Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Looking at these shoes by Tea Petrovic, I am at once reminded on the intricacy of engeneering and design projects such as bridges and modern buildings.
Studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Tea Petrovic created these shoes as part of her graduation project. Petrovic concentrated the majority of her attention on the space between the heel of the shoes and the floor. There are ten styles in total and Petrovic fully admits that the heels are meant to be appreciated as art and not as functional footwear.
