The 'Swift Shield' is a compact piece of equipment for law enforcement professionals that would enable them to maintain enhanced protection without feeling weighed down. Boasting a ballistic design, the shield is crafted from what the company calls "ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene materials." These have been covered with a shell crafted from Hypalon, which is firm, flexible, chemical-resistant and also waterproof for added durability.
The 'Swift Shield' is being manufactured by US-based ATCS (Advanced Technology Compliant Solutions) and will be sold by AEGIX Global to police forces.
Speaking on the product, CEO of AEGIX Global Chet Linton said, "The Swift Shield represents a new category in personal protection in law enforcement because it is ready to deploy-and-protect any time. Its foldable nature makes it possible to store in an officer’s car door, in between the front seats or backpack. It can be deployed on a windshield, folded in half on top of the trunk or hood of an officer’s vehicle."
