Grant Imahara and Allen Pan Show How to Make Working Superhero Accessories
Riley von Niessen — May 5, 2016 — Art & Design
Grant Imahara, a memorable face from the popular show Myth Busters teamed up with superhero design specialist Allen Pan to create a few fun superhero DIY projects. The two invent new versions of Iron Man's powerful gauntlet as well as Captain America's famous throwing shield, working in partnership with Marvel.
Their instructional video leads viewers through the building process that makes use of easy to find electronic materials. Not only do the end results look movie-ready, but the gauntlet is also equipped with a working laser. The shield has the "ricochet action" that makes it such a dynamic weapon, which is created by using a drone to fly it around.
Imahara and Pan show off their creations by using them to destroy distant balloons. While these DIY projects might be too difficult for amateurs to recreate, each creation is explained in detail.
