The Stokke PlayPad has been designed by Marius Kindler as an interactive play solution for parents to provide to youngsters as a way to stimulate mental development and more. The system starts off with a soft, cushioned surface that's kind to the hands and knees of a child, while the various tech accoutrements provide auditory and visual engagement. The child will thus be able to see, touch and explore the surface, which is paired with a sensor grid laden with LEDs that will change according to the program.
The Stokke PlayPad has an RFID-enabled design that allows the games and activities to be changed by simply swapping out the physical program disc. This enable the play mat to change in different scenarios or evolve as the child matures.
