Sharing one's thoughts and feelings on Facebook can be daunting for many and so they are taking some of the pressure off with a series of status suggestions. That's right, the social media platform wants to help people put themselves out there more by prompting them with buzz topics of the day including trending hashtags.
Although these status suggestions could be great for consumers, they also benefit Facebook itself. Fast Company writes, "One user's experience, as told to SocialTimes, hints that Facebook might also be tracking your comment activity to make more informed suggestions. After commenting on a friend's status about the Cleveland Cavaliers at the NBA Finals, his status update box showed ghost text that said the following: 'The Cavaliers are playing today. What’s on your mind?'"
