The Static Plastic lights by Netherlands-based designer Han Koning are made from randomly formed plastic. What this means is that each light in the collection is crafted through a process called 'random thermo forcing,' in which the material is heated and deformed into its final shape.
Because the Static Plastic lights are randomly formed, each lamp is slightly different in height and dimension—although my opinion is quite a few of them resemble lips.
Implications - FIRST SENTENCE IS TOO SPECIFIC
While lamps can easily be dismissed as a product that most consumers already own, and therefore do not need, these such products are actually still lucrative business ventures. Companies who put modern, aesthetic twists on mundane products will find these products can easily replace consumers' existing products.
