A Spotify TV Series Will Be Created Based on the App's Rise
Daniel Johnson — August 26, 2019 — Tech
A Spotify TV series will be created based on the platform's rise. The Spotify TV series is based on a book, named Spotify Untold, which was written by Jonas Leijonhufvud and Sven Carlsson. The book was released in 2019 and it details the rise of the startup, where more than 70 interviews served as the source material.
Both of the authors of the book will act as consultants on the Spotify TV series. The book focused a lot on the competition between Spotify and other apps, the upcoming TV series will likely focus on much of the same content as the book. Currently, no release date has been set for the project.
The series could be an informative history of the success of the app, as well as a means to promote the app itself.
