Anderssen & Voll design the Spoke sofa for Takt, which is premium furniture that is meant to last through many generations. Oftentimes, mass-produced furniture does not have a long life range and the team aims to tackle that for a more sustainable solution.
The Spoke sofa is made to be easily repaired so that it is able to have long-lasting use, even replacing parts when it is necessary. Conventional sofas are wasteful and can become of no use overtime. All of the parts that are used to create the Spoke sofa are sleek and sustainable made from recycled materials that do not compromise the durability or comfort of the design. The wood is also treated with mindful practices including the use of pure oil or water-baed lacquer.
