Italy-based design studio Draga & Aurel joins forces with Nilufar for the second time and the duo presents the Space Couture project for Milan Design Week 2023. The capsule is made up of furniture designs that are inspired by galactic themes and Op Art inspirations.
It is highlighted by bright colors and reflective looks and speaking about the project, Draga & Aurel state “In this age of darkness, we need to be lighthearted, carefree, and ‘sparkling.’ With our new project for Nilufar, we want to impart these positive, luminous vibes." To draw inspiration for the designs, the pair looked to the 70s, bringing forth elements of optical illusions, works by Jeff Koons, and more. This results in the dominating look of the Blow Inflatable Art Chair.
