Axe Body Spray Runs a Contest to Send 22 Winners to Space

Who would have thought that a potential ticket to space could be yours by simply buying body spray? That's exactly what Axe is doing with their sweepstakes to promote their new Apollo line of scented products, where 22 winners of their space contest will boldly take to the stars.

The popular scent manufacturers have teamed with Space Expedition Corporation to send the lucky winners to sub-space orbit in a Lynx shuttle. The shuttle takes off and lands horizontally like an airplane, but goes into orbit through conventional rocket thrusters. The shuttle carries only a pilot and a single passenger. Winners will also go to a space camp in Florida to ensure physical fitness for the trip.

To add extra legitimacy to the space contest, Axe has also acquired the promotional services of legendary astronaut Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin, who enthusiastically talks up the program in a YouTube video promoting the contest.
