Sony really crossed the line this time when it used images of a freshly slaughtered goat to promote it's game, "God of War 2". Animal rights activists were enraged by the depiction and Sony has repented in ashes.
Implications - In addition to the goat, there was also a naked female hostess covered in paint acting like a servant by feeding grapes. If that wasn't enough, there was also "meat" soup that was made to look like a goat's internal organs. The game has a mythological/God element which may explain the company's marketing approach. However, the highly dramatized promotion has clearly offended several people and has severely backfired on Sony.
