The Solar Dust Fence is a Self-Sustaining Dust Vacuum for Construction
References: yankodesign
Dust is more than just a nuisance in the home; the Solar Dust Fence is a proposal for handling the excessive, air-polluting dust that often plagues construction sites and the surrounding areas.
Current construction sites have very low tech solutions for the dust that gets stirred up. They cover buildings in tarps to contain dust and have ventilation inside for the workers. As one might expect, this does little to keep dust from the outside environment. The Solar Dust Fence is a self-sustaining vacuum that will more effectively handle construction dust.
The system is like the old-fashioned tarps, however the surrounding material is made from flexible solar panels. These panels keep the dust inside the building while also powering vacuums that suck up the particulate matter, which can potentially be recycled into new concrete or bricks.
