I think it's safe to say that college students across the country would lose their minds if their campuses installed even one Solar Dok. The Solar Dok is an outdoor charging station that recharges gadgets using the power of the sun.
The Solar Dok has photovoltaic panels installed atop its shade umbrella. The panels absorb the sun's energy and store it in a battery to provide power. The Dok is ringed by benches and has both wall outlets and USB plugs. The Solar Dok featured in the photos here is labeled with the University of Central Florida's (UCF) logo. UCF is located in Orlando -- an area with ample sun exposure, to say the least.
The Solar Dok would be a great addition to almost any college campus across the country. Schools on a tight budget could save money and please the student body just by adding a few Solar Doks.
