Converse Japan unveils a close look at a series of sneaker updates that are focused on preparing the silhouettes for outdoor purposes. The capsule reintroduces familiar models such as the Resistor, the Sponge, and the Quake from its archives. Every model starts from the foundation of its original design and builds upon that with modern elements including technical Cordura fabrication.
The Quake originated in 1992, offered this time in a colorway of black and white with a unique drawcord enclosure. Majority of the Resistor's upper is made from suede materials and durable ballistic weave makes up the sidewalls, toe cap, and the tongue. The Sponge is a laceless design and offers comfort with the slightly padded collars. There are emblems that detail the sidewalls with additional branding in a tonal overlay.
