Charmin is a brand known for its bathroom products and its latest is the Smooth Tear toilet paper which is designed to tackle uneven tears and odd shapes. This reinvented toilet paper imagined the square paper with scalloped edges that are purposely applied to separate evenly every single time.
The Smooth Tear toilet paper is a part of the brand's Ultra Soft category now. Gregg Weaver, one of Procter & Gamble's senior scientist explains that. “The uneven tear is a result of straight perforations that don’t match the direction that consumers' pull sheets and where the toilet paper is hung in the bathroom. The new Charmin wavy perforation ensures that you’re able to tear smoothly no matter where and how you tear.”
