As droughts and a lack of access to water worsen in communities and regions due to global warming and overuse, conserving water is the priority for the Naiad smart watering system.
The Naiad is a solar-powered robot that has that can propel itself in a lawn and has two nozzles that will hook up to a water pipe. The surface of this smart watering system provides the user with the ability to schedule water systems and there is an LED indicator that shows that the system is working. Most importantly, the system has the ability to measure the area of the lawn and plan its route -- ensuring that the most efficient direction of watering the lawn is used.
The Naiad's ultimate goal is to avoid wasting water and is targeted towards suburban homeowners.
