The two guys behind the Buenos Aires-based company, Skate Guitar, have figured out a way to preserve beat-up, old skateboards by giving them a new purpose.
Ezequiel Galasso and Gianfranco de Gennaro have repurposed a ton of old skateboards into guitars. By using the skateboard's old wood, Galasso and de Gennaro cut out clever shapes to act as the guitars' bodies. They used regular guitar strings, strung them over the guitar's body, and eventually ended up with a fully functioning acoustic guitar.
These skateboards-turned-guitars are not only functional, but they're artistic-looking as well. Hand-painted, these innovative instruments are one of a kind, ensuring that hardcore musicians foster their sense of individuality.
With these cool new guitars, musicians can rock out while knowing that their guitar has been wheeled all around the world, over skate ramps and down different streets, bumping through cobble-stoned avenues, and sailing off of metallic railings, making these instruments some of the most worldly on the market.
