SKADE has announced a partnership with The Federation of Norwegian Industries (NI) to increase the recruitment numbers of young gamers and esports fanatics into Norwegian industrial companies. SKADE and NI will work on a content series and work opportunities, and the latter will become an official SKADE partner for all future events and activations.
NI aims to explore the similarities between the industrial and esports sectors when it comes to digital production, and the partnership will also allow local businesses to further connect with young individuals interested in the field.
“We experience that several companies here are desperate for more technical competence. Esports fans and enthusiasts are known for being technology literate and having specific IT expertise. Together with our new partner, we will show how this relevant competence can be transferred to industrial jobs and all the opportunities within the sector,” said Morten Skaland, CEO of SKADE.
