With the highly anticipated 'Star Wars' reboot on the way, it is only natural that die hard fans will be wanting to channel their inner Jedi in any way they can; enter the Sixense STEM. It is a motion-controlled, virtual reality lightsaber that simulates all the best parts of wielding such an iconic weapon.
Adi Robertson of The Verge writes about the Sixense STEM, "I know what it feels like to grab a hilt and see it extend, then parry volley after volley of blasts from a training remote, sending them shooting across the room. Or to drag it downward and watch it burn tracks into the floor." Currently the Sixense STEM, which works with the Oculus Rift, is being sold as a development kit.
